ABOUT

Lydia is a multimedia performance artist specializing in aerial hoop; incorporating nature’s elements, mystical hand-crafted costuming, and storytelling into captivating performance pieces.
While aerial is her longest lasting love, she has joyfully forayed into silks, aerial hoop doubles, aerial moon, pole, stilt walking, and dance.

Before attending Aloft Circus Arts Professional Training Program, she lovingly patchworked her training across continents. Some of her coaches include: Waverly Jones, Kristi Alyssa, Dream Frohe, Jenn Bruyer, Jenny Tufts, Aisling Ní Cheallaigh, Brit Crumpton, and Jessica John.

Lydia has choreographed and performed with Aloft Circus Arts, Asheville Aerial Arts, Empyrean Arts, Flying Catastrophe Circus, and Warren Wilson Circus. She also makes time to create her own work including "All My Dandelion Wishes," a circus show about childhood, climate change and hope. As a woman living in extremes, her wardrobe is composed of velvet, glitter, flannel, and double-layer canvas in order to dance through the world as a circus artist  with a B.S. in Forestry.
